Real wedding: Christina + Eric

In 2005, Chris and Eric went on one of their first trips to Napa Valley, California and stayed at a private residence.  Eric works for an importing and distributing company, so a wine tasting trip was very appropriate.  The property features a very romantic setting.  At the time, they both though of how amazing it would be for a wedding, not realizing that six years later, it would be their venue.  The property features lots of fruit trees and a vineyard that overlooks the valley.  In keeping with the natural beauty of their surroundings, they chose to do a simple yet rustic theme, choosing summery pale hues of yellow, green, and cream for their colors.

One of the first wedding planning tasks they had completed was finding a florist.  After meeting Leah and Rafael, owners of Spiral Hand Floral and Event Design, they realized they shared a love for nature.  It was a perfect match.  Since Chris attended culinary school, a great caterer was extremely important.  Andrea from The Girl and the Fig Caterers was wonderful at capturing exactly what Chris and Eric envisioned; amazing crostinis, an oyster bar with 500 oysters, and finally a dessert bar that included delicious pastries.  Another vendor they could not have done without was their event planners, Amy and Janice, from Amy Nichols Events.  Planning a wedding from NYC to California was not an easy task, but Amy and Janice made it seamless and effortless.  Amy and Janice helped with every little detail, from representing their mini dachshunds, Gus and Tucker, to the honorary table that held pictures of their beloved ones who had passed on.  Overall, their day was magical in its simplicity and truly reflected Chris and Eric as a couple.  Together they shared a beautiful day with their friends, family, and each other.
