If you’re in the city (particularly Brooklyn) this weekend and are engaged, you should definitely stop by the 1st annual Atlantic Avenue Wedding Extravaganza happening Saturday, 10am to 5pm. It’s a totally free event happening all day, and featuring all 28 local businesses you’ll find just within a few blocks of Atlantic Ave between Columbia St to 4th Ave. Starting with brunch at 10am at Bacchus Bistrot (409 Atlantic) or M.O.B. Restaurant (525 Atlantic), event goers can spend the day scoping out potential locations for their wedding, meet local vendors (from dresses and wedding cakes to wine and hair stylists), and listen to awesome wedding bands perform on Boerum Place and along the length of the avenue. There will be 2 mock weddings at the art deco venue Roulette at 1:30pm & an outdoor fashion show featuring dresses for the bridal party at 4:30pm on Boerum Place and Atlantic. Every couple walks away with an event program showcasing all participating vendors, and you’ll have a chance to take part in an ongoing contest throughout the day where you can win 1 of 3 prizes, the top one worth $1700+!
