8th Annual Holiday Card Swap

Print

It’s finally here you guys!  In all honesty, I wasn’t sure if I was going to do it this year, but after getting tweets and emails asking when the swap was happening, I knew I had to keep the tradition alive, so time to get those creative juices flowing!

In true card swap tradition, I asked a talented designer to design the logo for this years card swap, so a HUGE thank you to the lovely Erica Loesing of Yes Ma’am!  We’ve never done a calligraphed logo before for the swap, so it was a great opportunity to start now!

Here are the rules:

Send an email to me at brooklynbride [at] gmail [dot] com with Holiday Card Swap in the subject line by November 26 [you’ve only got a week and a half to enter!]. Include your name, address, email address, website/blog address and twitter handle [if you have these].  Please send your email in this format…

@janesmith

– By December 1, I will have emailed you the names and addresses of up to 5 people to send cards to.
– Your cards should be handmade or self-designed [think Gocco, glitter, Photoshop, cut + paste, sewing, etc….] Make something that’s easy to do multiples of.  You’ll be sending 1 card to each person on your list, and add in a special holiday greeting!
– Send out your cards by December 15 at the latest.

Then you just wait patiently by your mailbox!  The swap is open to our international audience, so pay special attention to postage [letters to any country in the world including Canada are now all the same price].  Please don’t disappoint your partners if you know you won’t be able to send out cards on time, or at all.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
