From the team:

Earlier in the season, BHLDN met with florist, blogger and real-life bride-to-be (now newlywed), Lisa Przystup, in Greenpoint Brooklyn, where she starred in a shoot featuring the brand’s favorite reception styles from the fall 2015 collection. The shoot was designed to capture Lisa at real-life hangouts in her Brooklyn neighborhood, wearing versatile, beautiful dresses.

We wanted our model to be someone who was relatable to our bride. Lisa, the owner of James’s Daughter Flowers and a contributing style writer for Garance Doré, was the perfect choice because she radiates the easy-going yet sophisticated nature of the BHLDN brand and perfectly captures the beauty of the fall collection.

Photographer Christoper Gabello followed Lisa through a typical day in her life, beginning the afternoon in her flower studio-apartment before heading to grab a cup of coffee at the nearby Milk & Roses Café. Then the two went for a stroll along the Kent Street Brownstones, ending the day in McGolrick Park. Overall, the look and feel of the shoot is candid, natural, open and modern. Lisa’s hair was kept very soft with loose texture and volume to mirror her everyday style, while her “barely there” makeup added to the bright and clean elements of the surrounding environment. With her wedding day right around the corner at the time of the shoot, Lisa’s  genuine happiness and excitement can be felt through every image.
