Real wedding: Nina + Gerrett

Low key was the way to be for this Brooklyn couple…I just love how easy restaurant weddings are!

From the bride:
Gerrett and I met in the most New York way possible (at the bar where he worked, of course), that it was only fitting we honor that with a low key Brooklyn wedding. As a professional event producer, I’ve always been of the opinion that creating the right feeling makes for the most memorable experiences. We opted to keep it simple with beautiful details. Gobs of candles, soft lighting, warm colors, rustic textures, gorgeous flowers, nothing too fussy. In foregoing many of the traditional wedding things we stayed really true to our own personal style. Getting to walk around our Red Hook neighborhood for pictures to jump over to Gowanus for the ceremony and party made it all feel totally authentic to our life together. It was the best day because we got to focus on just being in the moment together, rather then being held to tradition that didn’t suit us. Plus an insane dance party created by a rockin’ DJ.
