Denise of Studio d.Sharp [check out her new blog as well]:

My husband and I were wed at the Maryhill Museum in the Columbia Gorge in 1996. We had the ceremony on the grounds, followed by cocktails and an appetizer bar. We had vintage quilts on the lawn for guests to relax and talk {amid the resident peacocks} as well as a number of croquet games going. Dinner and dancing were in the main hall, set among some truly beautiful pieces from the museum’s collection. It is not a cavernous space, so our smaller wedding of about 80 people was wonderfully intimate. It was most important for the two of to be able to spend time with each guest – so we made sure we were the last to leave, we had so much fun.

This photo is one of my favorites. I love how I am kind of echoing the sculpture behind me. It is also completely accidental – the Gorge wind is something I had not considered when it came to choosing the dress.
