Jude Miller

I saw a post about Jude Miller the other day on Weddingbee and had to learn more….her paper flower sculptures are pretty spectacular, and completely in the spirit of handmade goodness. It’s ambitious, but definitely something you could try for yourself.

The Store Across the Street

Yesterday I headed over to the garment district to pick up some green ribbons for a “yet to be determined” wedding project…The Store Across the Street happens to be one of my favorite stomping grounds, and in addition to picking up some beautiful new and vintage ribbons, I noticed they now sell the Martha Stewart Crafts line…if you’re not in the NYC area, you can order their ribbons online here. Here are two of my favorite styles…I’m sure you can guess which colors I bought…

Tate Modern party

This was a beyond cool fundraising party for the Tate Modern…how could I not have thought of this before? [interior designer = paint chips] David Stark was enlisted for the event design, and made it fabulous using paint chips as table numbers, chandeliers, and backdrops. And how easy! For the table numbers, just raid your local hardware store for the chips and grab some vinyl letters and you’re all set…[via Hue Consulting]
