Weddings in Color pre-order and free gift!

You guys!  I can’t believe Weddings in Color is almost out in stores and online!  You may remember back when I first told you about the book that it was supposed to come out in January of 2016….well then it got pushed to November of this year, but with it being so close to my due date with Baby B, we were able to push it up even further to October 13!  Thats next week!  And to top it all off, this past Thursday we were super excited to find out that Weddings in Color made it to Amazon’s best new books of October list in the Crafts, Hobbies and Homes category!  I guess that means we did something right with going with our gut and putting out the book we wished we had when planning our own weddings.  Minhee and I are so proud of how it came out and are so excited to get it into your hands!

If you’ve already pre-ordered or were planning to, we’ve sweetened the deal with a great FREE wedding planning notebook that Minhee designed especially for you!  There are lots of prompts inside to help keep you organized, and it makes a great addition if you were planning on getting the book as a gift for a bride-to-be (the holidays will be here before you know it!)  Just fill out the form at the bottom of the page to secure one once you’ve pre-ordered the book…you’ll just need a receipt or purchase # to be eligible.  Do it quick though, because quantities for the notebook are limited!  Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Indiebound

Tomorrow I’ll give all the details on next week’s book party hosted by West Elm Brooklyn…if you’re free, you should definitely come by to get your copy of the book signed!

Find our Wedding Style couple search

Brides New York is looking for an engaged couple in  the NY/NJ/CT area for their Find Our Wedding Style feature.  You might remember our apartment was featured last year, and I can tell you first hand its totally fun!  If you’re interested, read on.

FindOurStyle1 copy

We photograph an engaged couple’s apartment. Based on elements from their home (furniture, wall décor, knick knacks, etc.) we create ideas for their wedding. The couple is not required to use any of our ideas, and it’s okay if they already have elements of their wedding in place. The purpose of the story is to show readers how items from their day to day life can inspire great ideas, and how their interior design aesthetic can be translated into wedding details. No fancy digs needed—what I’m looking for is a distinct style we’ll have fun working with. All that’s required from the couple is an afternoon for our team to come
over and take photos.

If you know of any interested couples, please have them email me at They should include the following in the email:
-wedding date
-wedding location
-any thoughts they already have about their wedding
-a brief description about what they feel their style is
-five to seven photos of their home (a few wide shots and close ups of any details they feel are particularly “them”) so we can get of what their living space is like
-one or two pictures of themselves

I would love to have submissions by Monday, August 24th.
