Black and white stripes have been trendy for awhile and seem to be going nowhere! I’ve blogged about it before here, but then I started to notice the amount of black and white striped cakes. They add a beautiful graphic punch to the wedding scene. Plus, you can add any accessory to them for a bright punch.

This top 10 was a recent reader request…fondant cakes may look great, but they definitely don’t taste it, so here are some chic non-fondant options!

Welcome back everyone, and welcome to any of the newly engaged brides out there! Hope you all had a great break and got to relax a ton. Me? Not so much….you always have hopes to accomplish so much, and then all those plans fall to the wayside. But oh well, such is life!
Thought we could start the week off bright with the latest in the cool cake series with this yellow striped stunner from Betsy at Nine Cakes. I thought the imperfect stripes on these vases with the colorblocked yellow were a great translation to cake, and Betsy proved me right again! Gotta love that little addition of asymmetry…it would be great for a laid-back, colorful wedding!
