Save the Date: Emily + Neil

It’s actually quite appropriate that this submission is late in getting to you, because we were a little late in getting on board with making our save the dates for our wedding in May. As a result of our lack of planning (or environmental responsibility, or budget-concious stance, as I sometimes choose to describe it), we decided to email them out using Emma ( which is the email marketing company I work for. We were able to link the image itself to a signup form on our wedding website and gather mailing addresses for all of our guests. Since it was emailed, we wanted to create a printer-friendly save the date just in case our guests still needed to stick something on their fridge as a reminder. This gave us a chance to insert a little humor into the printable version (see PDF with instructions).

My dear husband Neil designed the save the date with plenty (too much, he might say) direction from me. My inspiration was the Keep Calm and Carry On posters from WWII ( Neil and I both wear plastic frame glasses, and we’re kind of known for them in our circle of friends, so we wanted to use them in our design scheme.

Save the Date: Jenny + Jeff

We’re getting married at Aspen Hall in Bend, OR.  The place is surrounded by a huge Aspen grove so we thought the perfect save-the-date should include a hint about our wedding location.  We carved the tree in that grove so it could conceivably be there for decades!  We’re planning to go back on the wedding day and take some bride/groom shots with the tree and our carving.

Save the Date: Bianca + Sean

My fiance and I are young and energetic and I wanted everything about of wedding to reflect who we are today as young 20 somethings. I am a budding graphic designer and hope to start my own print based company in the near future. I am still undecided on my final invites but only because I am trying to get that wow factor for my very first full scale stationary project.

Since my @brooklynbride account was suspended (probably due to the hackjob), I’m temporarily relocated to @bklynbrideblog, so feel free to follow me there.  If I ever get my hands on that hacker……

Save the Date: Heather + Dave

We took the photo in my parents backyard with both of our dogs, which made for some hilarious out takes.  My dog Walter (the sheepdog) hates other dogs so having Dave’s dog Marley (the Wheaten) there did not please him at all.  We did manage to get a few good pics of the four of us.  So here they are, our modern/dog inspired take on American Gothic.  We had them printed at on linen paper and they turned out lovely.

We’ve still got lots of save the dates for next week, so be sure to check back in.  Also, don’t forget my party is tomorrow, 6-10p, so please stop by 303GRAND if you’re in the neighborhood!
