Hey everyone! Welcome to 2009! I’m so excited to be back blogging…hopefully the holidays have been as relaxing to you as they were to me… We started off our Christmas down in Louisiana with Chad’s family, then headed back for a week of quasi-relaxation….I spent most of my days in front of the laptop getting some exciting stuff together for Brooklyn Bride, but worked in some time with friends too.
So, to start this week off, lots of fun things that got started in 2008, but have flourished in 2009… stay tuned.
[That lovely lady above is my cousin Sheila who just got engaged at New Years….and yes, that IS her engagement ring! Designed 20 years ago by a Dutch designer, she’s the only one who has this particular version]

I love what I do. My goal as a wedding photographer is to bring that enthusiasm, creativity, and vision to every event. My style is best described as a mixture of documentary and editorial style photography, stemming from my early experience documenting blues and jazz musicians in the Mississippi Delta, and my recent experience obtaining my MFA in Photography at Parsons School of Design. The result is a collection of wedding photographs with beautiful, creative formal shots coupled with special moments and spontaneous candids. My desire is to capture the character and spirit of each couple I work with and provide them with images they will cherish always.

I wish I could send all of you a personal card right to your doorstep, but hopefully this will do! Here are some of the amazing cards I received for the Holiday Card Swap…I couldn’t believe how fun they were! Some of you even went above and beyond and sent presents and delicious treats! Next year we might have to up the anty and do a recipe swap or ornament swap….:)
I’ll be taking a little blog break to work on some fun things I have in store for January, so until then….see you in 2009! Have a wonderful holiday!
