Alya’s save the date

Here’s another NY themed save the date!

My sister-in-law is an architect ( and made these for us in photoshop. We had seen someone do something with the subway before so we kind of took that idea and made it our own. You’ll see that the advertisement above the subway is actually a picture of me and Aaron (we got dressed up in Spain and took one of those cheesy tourist photos). The picture is taken at the NR stop on Prince Street and Broadway, next to Dean & Deluca. The back of the postcard was written as if this were a piece of art, and we wrote in personal notes to every guest before sending!

Elizabeth’s save the date

Love your blog and saw your post on STDs. Must share ours, which my future brother in law fashioned. We have just under 3 weeks to go, and am beyond stressed. When I saw your post I had to share just for a second to take me back to how happy and calm I was just a few months ago…

Ellenmarie’s save the date – craigslist style!

I am a fan of your blog and saw a few of the other save-the-dates posted so I thought I’d send you ours. It was a single card with info on the front and back that looked like a Craiglist ad. I met my fiance, Brett, a few years ago when I answered a craigslist posting for a room in a house in Philadelphia. One of Brett’s roommates moved out and they posted the ad. I didn’t take the room but we ended up chatting through email and eventually got together. We are getting married on Nov 29 and I can’t freakin wait!!!

Anna’s pre-RSVP

I wanted to share our save the date card which was a very simple post card (just our return address). We are getting married in the remote mountains of Idaho and wanted something simple and fun that our guests would get a kick out of — on a budget. Total cost for 250 post cards w/envelopes through was $80.

Parcel Post for Brooklyn Bride [no. 01]

I’m so happy to introduce my next guest blogger! You may know Audrey’s blog Parcel Post [its where I discovered popcorn favors], and I’m so happy she’s agreed to visit Brooklyn Bride every once in a while to show off the latest and greatest in paper…let’s give her a warm welcome!

Hi! My name is Audrey Woollen and I have a little stationery shop in Los Angeles called Urbanic Paper Boutique. I work with brides on a regular basis and have to say, the weddings of today blow my mind. I love that many modern brides are committed to so much creative detail to make their special day a true reflection of who they are. Brooklyn Bride is the best for always highlighting the latest and I often refer my brides here for ideas. That being said, I was truly delighted when Vané asked me to join her here with paper inspirations.

This week I am feeling peacock. There is something so light, flirty and sophisticated about peacock on paper.

Above are some of my favorite peacock letterpress- Antoinette invitation set by Hello Lucky and the “i love you” card by Night Owl Papergoods.
Other recent discoveries – this gorgeous peacock print by Carambatak design and these cute scalloped notecards by Anemone letterpress
