Diana, a Pratt graduate student, sent me the wedding invitations she designed for her own nuptials…nice pattern and colors! I guess now would be as good a time as any to start showing off some of YOUR designs, so if you’ve got a cool wedding invitation suite, send it over! I’ll start posting them next week.

Some of you may have already checked out Hello!Lucky‘s pretty new site, but did you know that they now offer digital printing? Its a great, cost effective alternative to letterpress, and with Hello!Lucky, you’re still getting the awesome designs. This week, they’re letting me give away $50 towards any order on their website! Just leave a comment below with your favorite design and they’ll pick a winner to be announced on Friday! [in case you were curious, my favorite is the New York save the date above]

Minted, the fabulous online stationery shop, is hosting a new contest that I’m happy to be a part of! They’re looking for 3 couples to be the inspiration for their latest design challenge…the pre-wedding card. This could be anything from an engagement party or bridal shower, to the rehearsal dinner, etc. (Any wedding related party that happens before the wedding). To enter, please send the following information by January 19th to firstname.lastname@example.org:
Bride’s and groom’s names
Location of wedding – venue, city, and state
Date of upcoming wedding
E-mail address where you can be reached
Wedding theme (if you have one)
A photograph (or more if you’d like!) that can help provide a little personality for the designers – this should be a photo of you and your fiancé.
Something special about your relationship – for example, how you met, what makes your relationship special, what you have in common, or what you like doing together
Why you should be one of the 3 couples chosen -be creative, anything goes!
I always love seeing what Bella Figura comes out with…for 2009, they enlisted some great new talent like Tara Hogan of Ink+Wit and Ben Whitla to design some totally hip invitations! You get awesome designs, but the same committment to the environmnt…its a win-win! To celebrate, they’ve asked a few bloggers (me included) to pick our fav 5 as sample packs. From now until January 23, you can pick up a sample pack for the reduced price of $10 and feel good knowing that 100% of that will go to charity.
I’m also excited to show you a new design that I helped inspire…called Dewdrop, its a wonderfully modern invitation that I think really embodies what Brooklyn Bride is all about. Its included in my curated sample pack, so feel free to order yourself a sample!
