Real wedding: Cristin + Conor

As a second marriage for both Cristin and Conor, it was important that the day be filled with close friends, family, and 15 KIDS(!) in a laid-back setting.  Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk ended up being the perfect place to celebrate!

From the bride:

This was a second marriage for both of us and so we wanted to really do things right. When we thought about planning, we knew we wanted to get married in a beautiful, laidback place surrounded by our close family and friends for a whole weekend. We’ve both spent summers in Montauk, so it was the first place to come to mind as the perfect background for our “summer-camp-by-the-sea.”

We’ve seen a lot of changes over the years in Montauk, but one really great addition has been Ruschmeyer’s. Its sophisticated style and chilled out charm suited us perfectly. Ruschmeyer’s courtyard was the ideal magic-hour backdrop for our vows and photos. And it made a perfect playground for our 15 guests under 15 to run around while their parents danced to Braincloud, the honky-tonkin’est swing band this side of the Rio Grande.

And yes, you read that right – 15 kids were at our wedding. We wanted to make sure that the weekend was as much fun for Conor’s daughter, Clancy, and his son, Finnegan as it was for us. They both played huge roles in the wedding; Finnegan took his job of walking me down the aisle very seriously and Clancy led the way down the aisle with rose petals and happiness – you can see her beaming throughout all our photos.

Dinner, prepared by Roy Wahlers and his magical team of chefs, was nothing short of heaven. Oh and forget a wedding cake. Pies! Lots and lots of Pies!
