Party @ 303GRAND

Woohoo!  Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday night in the gloomy weather to hang out at 303GRAND and win some awesome prizes!  It was so nice to see some familiar faces like Jordan and Jason from Enormous Champion, Jen from Ice Cream Social, Bryn from Paperfinger, and then meet some new friends, like Llubav, Jillian from 100LayerCake, and all the brides and grooms that came!

Michael from The Flashdance friggin kicked a$$!  Hire him immediately if you’re planning your wedding, he’s totally worth it!  Not only is he a dapper dresser and dj master, but he even brought his lovely wife and baby girl to party later in the night!

I was so grateful to have POP Champagne and Jones Soda provide us with amazing beverages, and to Nine Cakes for sending some darling cupcakes our way.  I’ve mentioned Jones Soda before because they donated to the B -List conference, and were such a big hit, I had to ask them to do the party as well!  POP Champagne was a new company to me, but now that I know of them, realize that they are PERFECT for weddings or bridal showers…how cute would it be to serve individual servings of champagne in blue or pink bottles with straws?  I’m all over that!  And Nine Cakes, geez louise, so tasty and adorable!  And in Brooklyn no less!

Extra special thanks to those who donated to the giftbags and raffle!  We had thousands of dollars worth of prizes to give away, like engagement sessions, ring pillows, handbags, hair accessories, books and more!  All the proceeds from raffle tickets went to the I Do Foundation so it was all for a good cause!

Brooklyn Popup Series week one recap

I’m covering the events of the Brooklyn Popup Wedding Series over at The Bride’s Guide this month, but I thought I’d share a couple more photos here of the decor…

I was so impressed with Domestic Constructions window design for the shop!  They made paper flower garlands and mixed in some scraps of fabric in shades of pink…such a simple concept but so effective!  Its a nice take on all those garlands I’ve been seeing lately.

Bryn from Paperfinger was an absolute sweetheart!  When I first met her on Saturday, she looked so familiar I had to ask where I knew her…apparently we both went to Skidmore College!  Small world!  She’s quite talented with her calligraphy, and is able to do lots of different types…but my favorite is where she fills in the letters.

Here’s whats coming up this week at the chapel:

June 11th-14th, 1pm-8pm Daily: Wedding Photography Exhibit curated by The Wedding Library.  You’ll get to check out prints from some of the best in the wedding photography and videography world.

June 11th, 6-9pm – Opening Exhibit party with photographers/videographers

June 13th, 6-10pm – I’ll be hosting a party featuring The Flashdance and an amazing raffle.  If you’re interested in popping by, please RSVP at
