The New Modern: Beach Inspired Wedding

Hello Summer! Here we are with our next Modern Table setting. This time I was directly inspired by the cover of Undecorate: The No Rules Approach to Interior Design by Christiane Lemieux.  There is something so soothing about the cool blues and light woods of a beach house.  I wanted the table to reflect that ease and be filled with lots of different textures. Again, looking to make the design approachable we kept the table cloth white and used different glasses for vases. To jazz up  plain glass vases I covered them in twisted muslin that I quickly white washed with some leftover house paint. The table number is a regular house number I picked up at Home Depot and covered with twine.  Full disclosure; I put this design together in late spring (hence the sweet pea and tulips) but it would work equally well with late summer flowers, like grasses and Queen Anne’s Lace. Enjoy! ~ Denise
