I always know I’ve got a winning wedding combination in my inbox when I see great Brooklyn locations, a great couple, and of course, a French Bulldog as the ring bearer.  And you can’t miss the video by Love+Brain Films…its just the icing on the cake!

From the bride:

We both moved to New York City at around the same time and after a few months our paths crossed through mutual friends at a picnic in Governor’s Island. We spent the next 4 years making New York City our new home. After we got engaged, we knew we wanted to get married in this city. When we came across 501 Union we stopped looking at other venues immediately and pretty much signed that same night.

We wanted our wedding to be very personal, simple and fun and since the space was already so beautiful it was easy for us to come up with little details around the space that reflected us. I love doing DIY projects. I styled the details: everything from hanging our motto on the bar (BEST NIGHT EVER) to punching out all the confetti found on the wedding program. It was important to us that our French Bulldog, Riley, got to be a part of the night. He had the very important role of Ring Bearer and our little Exotic Shorthair kitty, Izzy, was also represented at the Photo booth. I also made all the photo booth props including a watermelon slice and a New York pretzel. And one last personal touch was our favors which gave our guests the option of either the bride’s favorite candy, Haribo Coca-cola gummies or the groom’s favorite source of energy, coffee beans.

We had an intimate guest count of 110 and a lot of people were traveling from far away to come celebrate with us in Brooklyn. Being surrounded by all our family and friends is the best feeling ever. Most importantly we had an amazing wedding team helping us make the night feel perfect. Our caterer Naturally Delicious was incredible, our photographer Chaz and videographer Courtney are the coolest people ever. Morgan, our makeup artist and Russell our hair stylist made me and my bridesmaids all feel so beautiful on the big day. Our florist, Rhonda, made our vision of our wedding come to life! I was in love with my flower crown, bouquet, all the beautiful floral garlands on our huge farm style tables that made the industrial space look soft, rustic and romantic.

We had big smiles on our faces the whole night and it was truly our #BESTNIGHTEVER.
