In case you haven’t heard about this, I wanted to let you all in on something wonderful that chewing the cud and byrd+bleeker have cooked up….

I wanted to share with you the latest collaboration of chewing the cud (Viola) and byrd + bleeker (Libby) in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Survivor Soireé

Both Libby and I wanted to find a way to help in the fundraising efforts to promote the advancement of breast cancer research. We have known and been touched by the courageous stories of these survivors, one of which is my mom. This inspiration gave birth to the concept of Survivor Soirée— a pink party to celebrate celebrate the vitality of the women who have survived breast cancer. The creative strength of both our companies resulted in these “New Beginnings” letterpress invitations (by chewing the cud) and the “Sweetness of Life” candy bar (by byrd + bleeker). I’ve attached a series of photos + taglines that highlight the details of our concept.

We chose specifically to donate 10% of all proceeds to the Nellie B. Connally Breast Cancer Foundation at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at Houston, where Libby calls home and where my dad is currently a patient. This project is near and dear to our hearts at many levels.

And through the month of October, mention Brooklyn Bride and get 20% off!
