Outside the Flower Box

Fall is in the air! We’re suckers for crisp cool air and ruddy cheeks. After the long warm summer days, piling on big, comfy sweaters and having cozy dinners at home couldn’t be more welcome. During these autumn months there are so many gorgeous flowers (I’m mean look at those dahlias; they are good enough to eat) but there are also a plethora of fruits and veggies to be found at local farm and supermarkets alike. We decided to utilize all of the season’s bountiful harvest in our floral inspiration this month. From tiny crabapple seating cards to a crisp radish bouquet there are endless possibilities when it comes to designing an autumn wedding. Serving a family style meal at large farmhouse tables is a great way to encourage your guests to interact with one another. Placing your centerpiece in a petite vintage crate helps to carry the earthiness of the fall aesthetic through to the tablescape. Last but not least…don’t forget to serve up plenty of apple cider!

Trent Bailey photographed this months ‘Outside the Flower Box’ for us and we couldn’t have asked for a more talented photographer! Originally from Louisiana (same home state as Sierra) his Southern charm is just as lovely as his photographs! He was an absolute pleasure to work with and we can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking for some one to capture their big day.
