I love all the smart little details that went along with this wedding! Bright bold colors and handmade touches are always my favorite things to see in a wedding.
Michael and Christy both work at Apple and met when Christy performed a health assessment on Michael (she works in the Wellness Center). It was one assessment that went further than blood pressure:)
Their AMAZING wedding took place in Sonoma at Cornerstone Gardens. Situated near vineyards, it serves as a place for local artists to display art installations and is one of the most fabulous and unique venues I have shot at. The art installations alone are FABULOUS, however there is also a barn the couple used for their lounge and dancing, an enormous white tent they ate dinner under, and a gorgeous lawn area overlooking the vineyards for their ceremony. Being wine country, the bride opted to include wine bottles in many of her details- from installing directions to the various locations on the property for the festivities on wine bottles, to the guest seating, and by creating their own unique wine to bottle during the ceremony.
Being total food lovers, Michael and Christy opted for food “Stations” for dinner that included all of their favorite meals- a seafood station, an heirloom tomato station, meat and potatoes station, and a veggies station. The stations helped encourage guests to mingle and truly enjoy their dinner! During cocktail hour the wine flowed and mini sliders with fries and mini grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup in the cups were served. I just about ate my way out of there:) Guests were encouraged to take their time and eat as the night set in and the full moon rose. Christy is obsessed with the moon and specifically planned her wedding well over a year in advance to take advantage of the full moon on a weekend. It was truly fabulous. The night was capped off with dancing and lunging in the barn under gorgeous lanterns and moonlight… It was an epic night to remember!
