Real wedding: Valerie + Lukasz

Bar copy

This wedding was truly a great marriage of modern & vintage, pairing a stark white space with industrial details to warm it up.  Very beautiful and chic all at the same time.

This bride and groom had a very specific style that paired a modern, clean canvas with antique details like wire birdcages, edison bulbs, raw material edges, and mismatched silverware. Their industrial chic wedding at Park Studios featured dramatic curtains of bistro lights and bare bulbs, corrugated metal vases, mixed metal flatware, and airplant accents. We also helped to curate a quirky collection of curiosities that included a turn-of-the-century bicycle, salvaged ship pulleys, wire dress forms, sun-bleached antlers, and a stuffed armadillo. Yes, an armadillo.

All signage and paper goods featured hand-drawn illustrations and designs mounted on sheets of metal, which we painstakingly patina’d and sanded to get just the right degree of distress. Ceremony programs were bound using the same thin gun-metal wire used in the guests’ Save the Dates and Invitations. The bridal party and dinner table florals included hydrangeas, lavender thistles, dusty miller, juniper berries, berries, and ivory garden roses, all wrapped in metal wire to complement the paper goods.
