From the bride:

Roger and I are both designers. We spent our entire engagement carefully choosing everything- I mean everything- for our celebration! We tag-teamed designing the website, save the dates, coasters and menus, as well as letterpressing our invitations. Our biggest labor of love was our handmade concrete vases used as centerpieces- they transformed from decor to party favors when our guests took them home at the end of the night. We went with a simple and modern but fun feeling for our decor and chose all local vendors with small businesses from the Detroit area. The ceremony took place at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament and the reception was at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. We offered BBQ and a doughnut bar for guests, along with a signature cocktail appropriately named the Motown Mule. Old school hip hop and electronic dance grooves were provided by the female DJ duo Nothing Elegant. Our photos were taken at the preview of the internationally recognized Flower House art installation by the amazing humanitarian photographer Caryn Werner and wedding party transportation was provided by the ever-so-fun Detroit Bus Company!
