Kate’s save the date magnets

Your Save the Date series came at the perfect time for me! I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the creative ideas while we’ve been in the process of getting ours done.I really love our Save the Dates. I haven’t seen anything like them and I think they really reflect our classic, simple, fun loving approach to our wedding. I’ve been making all sorts of fun sentences on the fridge over the past week. I hope our guests enjoy them as much as I do! I ordered the custom word magnets from www.fridgedoor.com and they were so great to work with. I’m not sure they had ever received a request from a picky bride before, but they were patient and understanding and the final product was exactly what I was looking for.

I have some wonderful friends who spent hours helping me line our envelopes and were so great to deal with the fact that I wanted the point curved instead of easily using all straight edges. Brad’s sisters have beautiful handwriting and were gracious enough to spend hours last Thursday evening addressing the envelopes while I watched painting my nails and wishing I could write like that!

Today I went to the Post Office to buy stamps and didn’t like the .59 wedding stamp as it was yellow and my colors and Navy and Pink. I love the .42 stamp with the man running with the heart on his shoulders so I asked what I stamps they had to make up the difference. The woman behind the counter said “Oh no, you don’t want that on your wedding stationary, it’s a Ram!” A Ram?! I asked to see it and to my surprise it was Navy Blue! I said “I’ll take them, they’re perfect” and she looked at me like I was crazy! I think they look great together…much better than a yellow heart anyway.

As I sit here now, staring at them, knowing they’re going out the door tomorrow I feel excited and nervous! This is the first public proclamation of our wedding and the day guest list becomes ‘official’!! YAY!
